Paavo Järvi & Lisa Larsson

All good things come in fours: after a family piece, a cello concerto and an orchestral work, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich is premiering another composition by Swiss composer David Philip Hefti. The Swedish soprano Lisa Larsson is also well known to Zurich audiences, particularly from her time in the opera house ensemble; she sings songs from her Scandinavian homeland. And then Paavo Järvi conducts Mahler's Symphony No. 5: the recording of this work has earned him and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich various awards - in view of the guest performance in Baden-Baden, it can now be experienced live once again.
